Kate Spade Surprise Sale {Today Only}

Kate Spade is having another surprise sale! Kate Spade sales are not to be missed! The prices are awesome (up to 75% off!), and hello, it's Kate Spade! It seems like I just posted about a surprise sale a few weeks ago (okay, I did), but I just had to share because most of what's featured in this sale is totally different than the last one! With fall fast approaching (who else is excited for cooler temps?) now is the perfect time to update your handbag collection and pick up a new bag!

**everything pictured was purchased during a previous surprise sale**

Mad for Plaid

Basic Black

My favorite is the southport avenue oden! The pebbled black leather, the winged sides, the cute little tassel on the zipper, and that black and white striped lining - LOVE! If I didn't already own a Kate Spade bag that was almost identical I'd definitely be picking this one up (I still might!).

Animal Print

Baby Bags

Let's face it girls, when you have a baby or a toddler, oftentimes your purse gets replaced by a diaper bag. There is no rule saying your diaper bag can't be cute, so take advantage of this awesome sale and pick one up!

Money Holders

Jewelry

There are so many more amazing products featured in the sale, you NEED to check it out! But hurry, the sale ends tonight! Happy shopping!

ZGallerie Sale

It's been awhile since I've done a home decor post. To be honest, I went a little crazy decorating my house after we moved in and decided I needed to slow down the spending (you may remember my spending freeze during LENT). Anyhow, I did really well with that, and then summer came, and between entertaining the kids and vacations, I just didn't have time to think about decorating. Now I've gone a little crazy with the fall wardrobe spending and should probably hold off on any house purchases, but my in-laws are redoing a lot of their decor, so I can still shop for them, right?

They just opened a new ZGallerie in Southlake Town Square, and I've been dying to check it out! When we moved into our first house in Frisco there was a ZGallerie at the mall, and I fell in love with everything in the store! Of course, at the time we were two years out of college, so the only thing we ended up buying was a couple pieces of art, but my love for their store has not changed! It's definitely not one of those stores you can browse around with two kids in tow (unless you can talk your husband into joining you), so I'm planning on on going to check it out on Monday. Right now they're offering 15% off art, lighting, mirrors, and wall decor. The sale ends Monday, so it's the perfect day for me to stop in!

I always like to do some previewing online, so I decided to share some of my favorites from each category.

Art

What style of art is your favorite? I was always more drawn to black and white photography, and typography art, though the two pieces of art we purchased from ZGallerie for our first house were paintings, and now I'm starting to expand my art horizons a little. Of course, if I change one piece it will probably create a domino effect and I'll feel the need to change everything, so I might hold off awhile. I'm shopping for my in-laws, though, so there's no danger of me spending my own money, right? ZGallerie definitely has a wide variety to choose from, and many pieces are under $100.

 Lighting

We still need to replace the builder grade lighting in our house. It's definitely not at the top of our list of things to do, but eventually I'd like to replace the kitchen lights (pendants and chandelier), the chandelier in the dining room, and the foyer light. ZGallerie has some unique options. I'm not sure that I can talk Michael into getting any of them, but a girl can dream!

Mirrors

This post is starting to get dangerous because I was supposed to be browsing, but it seems that much of what I'm picking out would fit perfectly in my house...I'll just call this a wish list!

Simplicity Leaner Mirror (I love how it looks over the couch!)

Wall Decor

If you followed any of the links, you know that ZGallerie's prices can sometimes be a little steep. A lot of the time I'll just look to them for inspiration and then try to find something similar for cheaper ("Pottery Barn/ZGallerie Style on a Target Budget" - blog post coming soon!), but occasionally there will be something so unique it's worth the splurge.

Even if you don't end up buying anything it's still fun to window shop! That's what I'll be doing on Monday. Happy shopping!

Teacher Discounts on Clothes

One of the things I miss about being a teacher is the great discounts I'd get at some of my favorite clothing stores! Many of the discounts aren't necessarily well-advertised, so I thought I'd share them here.. One thing to keep in mind is that most stores only offer the discount on full-priced items and you have to use it in-store, but it's nice to be able to use it when something you really want isn't on sale. Now is the perfect time to update your wardrobe for fall!

1. Banana Republic - 15% off with a teacher ID.

2. JCREW - 15% off with a teacher ID.

3. LOFT - Sign up for LOFT LOVES TEACHERS here. Unless they've changed their program (I think they may have....it's been awhile), you have to carry the coupon email with you in order to get the discount.

4. Anthropologie - Now through September 12th, teachers receive 15% off full-priced items. Right now they're offering an extra 25% off sale items.

5. THE LIMITED - 15% off with your teacher ID.

What are your favorite stores to buy teacher clothes?

 Happy shopping!

Target Shoes

I was so excited today when I got on Target's website and saw that they're having a BOGO 50% off sale on women's shoes! I ordered a pair of wedge booties from the #NSale, and ended up returning them because I wasn't in love, so I've been on the lookout for another pair. I had some errands to run, so I decided to stop at Target while I was out. I'm so glad I did because I ended up finding two pairs I loved!

Target has a ton of cute shoes right now, and with the sale it's the perfect time to stock up for fall! Check it out!

Happy shopping!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale - What I Purchased

Okay, so I went a little crazy during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! There were so many amazing deals, it was hard NOT to buy! Luckily I have been able to weed out and return quite a few things, so my list of purchases seems somewhat reasonable. ;)

I realized that in my first post I mentioned including what I purchased, and I did include links to almost everything I ordered, but I didn't actually share what I got. Everything is still in stock in several sizes, so I thought I'd share below.

1. Rag & Bone 'Dre' Boyfriend Jeans - New favorite jeans! They are super comfortable and the waist is high enough that I don't have to be completely paranoid when I sit down or bend over that my crack is showing (I'm just keeping it real). They run a little big (or maybe they are TTS and I'm just a smaller size...probably not, but that's what I'll keep telling myself) so go down a size. I like that they don't have a bunch of holes in them for once. Don't get me wrong, I love a good pair of holey jeans, but sometimes I feel a little self-conscious depending on where I'm going. These do have the frayed edge on the bottom, but you can roll them up one more time if you want a more polished look.

2. Free People 'Shadow' Oversize Hacci Open Back Top - This top is so fun!  I absolutely love the open back, and the uneven hem in the front is super cute too! I'm not sure how often I'll wear it with a completely open back, but it still looks good with a tank underneath.

3. Barefoot Dreams Drape Front Cardigan - This cardigan feels like butter! So cozy! I can see myself living in this during the colder months.

4. BP. Long Sleeve Tunic Tee - A nice layering tee, but looks cute by itself too.

5. Halogen Oversize V-Neck Sweater - Definitely oversized, but it's comfortable and looks great with the front tucked.

6. Perfect' Roll Tab Sleeve Tunic - I love this shirt! I ordered it in black and ivory. The material is really lightweight, so you can wear it in the summer without sweating like crazy, but I can totally see myself wearing this with some skinny jeans and boots in the fall. It's perfect for layering, so add a blanket scarf and a cute jacket or cardigan and it will carry into winter!

1. Lush Knit Tee - A basic black tee that's perfect for summer, and will be great for layering in fall.

 2. Nordstrom Lingerie 'Lazy Mornings' Lounge Pants - Comfy pants. Enough said.

3. Clarisonic 'Mia - Pink' - I'm still on the fence about this one. From the Nordstrom website, "...loosens dirt and oil to clear your pores while helping to reduce oily areas, dry patches and blemishes....Fine lines and wrinkles appear reduced and your skin is clearer than ever..." I think I'll keep it!

Not on sale, but the hat is a good price and the blouse is so pretty!

Hinge Floppy Wool Hat / Free People 'Show Me Some Shoulder' Off the Shoulder Cotton Blouse

I'd love to hear what you ordered or plan on ordering from the #NSale! Prices go back up on August 8th so there's still time to shop!

XOXO,
